CountyContracts relaunch
Prepare the first-day journey, required collection, County services and public reporting. No public opening date is promised here; confirmed launch news belongs in the Chronicle.

County field reference
Rules, required equipment, common answers, and the public development plan—kept together and kept current.
Survivor Code · Survivor Code 1.0
This is the canonical Survivor Code for the website, Discord screening, and the in-game county notice. Effective August 28, 2026.
No griefing, harassment, hate speech, targeted disruption, or behavior intended to drive people away.
PvP is enabled, but safety, factions, logging, and live-player protections exist to support meaningful conflict—not random abuse.
Do not steal, damage, dismantle, or bypass another survivor’s protected home or containers.
Do not block major roads, spawn areas, gas pumps, or public access with vehicles or construction.
Fire inside protected areas is restricted. Deliberate destructive fire-setting is treated as griefing.
Do not duplicate, abuse bugs, bypass permissions, or use unauthorized software. Report problems privately.
Do not repeatedly hunt fresh spawns or turn onboarding areas into kill zones.
Use tickets for disputes. Staff may repair damage, remove hazards, or act against accounts that threaten the long-term server.

Direct answers to the questions that most often interrupt a first login.
Members are invited to help during preseason test week; this is not the season launch. Check County Signal for current availability and build information before connecting. Expect restarts and interruptions. The test world, characters, purchases, property, inventory and all in-game progress will be wiped before the new season. Confirmed launch details will be announced in the Chronicle.
Follow the current Join guide and County Signal notices for access requirements. Test access and public opening may differ; do not assume the server is open because it appears in the browser.
Use Project Zomboid Build 42. The Join page reports the exact version currently returned by the server.
Subscribe to the official Steam Workshop collection, let Steam finish every download, then launch the game. Do not assemble the list one item at a time.
Use the spawn choices offered by the running server and the current Join guide. Relaunch spawn locations are subject to live testing; older hub coordinates are not a current spawn guarantee.
Scheduled maintenance windows are 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM Central. Check County Signal and Discord for current notices.
Check the property services in the running CountyNet PDA for eligibility, cost and terms. Do not rely on an older waiting period or assume every building can be claimed. Ask staff before spending if the property status is unclear.
Yes, with the safety system and reduced player-damage multipliers. Conflict should be purposeful and follow the Survivor Code.
Read the Motor Pool or vehicle-registration review in the running CountyNet PDA. Check the vehicle, price and registration terms before confirming. For a County-purchased vehicle, check the purchase receipt and delivery status before trying to register it separately. Ask staff if a modded vehicle is not recognised.
Follow the First Day section of the Join guide: read your starting Chronicle and visit a County Depot. If the starter paper or PDA is missing, open a private support ticket before buying a replacement or creating another survivor.
No. Read the objective, deadline, kit conditions and payout in the PDA, then accept or request to join there. Discord is for organising people, not reserving work.
Use the PDA to discover shops and plan a visit. Buying, selling and managing faction stock require an in-person visit to the kiosk. The running game decides availability and prices.
County Public Radio is the in-game broadcast station. Discord In-Game Radio is a global-chat relay, and the County Radio voice room is for community voice chat. They are different services; follow the running PDA for station availability.
Open a Discord support ticket with what happened, when it happened, your character name, and any screenshot or console detail you have.
Field roadmap
The roadmap is a direction, not a promise of unverified features or dates. Stability and the player experience come first.
Prepare the first-day journey, required collection, County services and public reporting. No public opening date is promised here; confirmed launch news belongs in the Chronicle.
Use live testing to refine performance, clarity, claims, protected zones, contracts, and administrative workflows.
Expand approved contract packs, settlement work, survivor recognition, trade routes, and connected Chronicle stories.
Evaluate reliable server-to-Discord automation and richer public reporting only when the underlying data can be verified safely.
If a feature is not confirmed live, the county labels it planned or exploratory.
